How to Celebrate Book Lovers Day

If you love the feeling of opening up a new, good-smelling book (book lovers know what I'm talking about), November 4th marks an exciting day for you. This day is known as Book Lovers Day, a day dedicated to book lovers everywhere. No matter if you love to read long novels or short, page-turners, non-fiction or fantasy books, and everything in between, Book Lovers Day can be celebrated by anyone who loves nothing more than to curl up in bed on a cold, dreary day with a hot cup of tea and a book in her hands. Here are a few ways to celebrate this special day:

1. Visit your local library. While it's easy to simply stop in a Barnes & Noble or order off Amazon, your local library needs support, too - not to mention, it's free!

2. Pick out something you wouldn't normally pick out. If you're usually a sci-fi lover, how about picking up an autobiography? Worst case scenario is it may not be your cup of tea, but at least you might learn something new and expand your horizons a bit!

3. Read! Take special time out of your day to dedicate to a good book and escape from the mundane realities of everyday for a little bit! Brew some hot coffee (or tea!), turn off the electronics, and immerse yourself in someone else's life for a little while.

4. Donate old books. Books are an absolute pleasure, and everyone should have the chance to experience for themselves what reading is all about. Help make this a reality by donating old books that you don't have much room for anymore to a local thrift store, the Salvation Army, your local library, or more. For an in-depth list on places you can donate books, you can visit this website, or any others of your choosing.
