Frikadellen is honestly one of my favorite dishes. You can eat it like a hamburger patty with a side of ketchup or just plain with the sides of your choice (you can never go wrong with mashed potatoes). 



1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion (diced)

2 slices white bread

2 eggs

1/4 cup chopped parsley

1 tsp paprika

2 tsp vegetable oil

salt and pepper to taste


Soak bread in water (or milk), squeeze out excess water, then crumble in a large bowl. Whisk eggs in a separate bowl. Add ground beef, onion, eggs, parsley, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste, to crumbled bread and mix lightly until well blended. Shape meat into patties and pan fry in vegetable oil over medium heat until browned and no longer pink in the center (approximately 5 minutes per side).
