Ingredients

  • Brownie mix

  • Ingredients called for on brownie mix box

  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger

  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • Cookie decorating white icing

  • Mini M&M’s or any other desired treats for decorations

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, letting foil hang 2 inches over sides of pan. Spray foil with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix the brownie mix with its ingredients as instructed adding in both the ginger and cinnamon until well blended. Spread in pan.

  2. Bake according to brownie box instructions. Transfer to cooling rack to cool completely, about 1 hour. Freeze in pan for 30 minutes.

  3. Using foil to lift, remove brownies from pan, and peel foil away. Cut out 8 gingerbread men using a 3-inch gingerbread man cookie cutter. Gently push the brownie out of the cutter each time. Set aside end pieces for snacking. If cutter gets sticky, wipe it clean with a damp paper towel before cutting again.

  4. Decorate each gingerbread man with cookie icing and M&M’s or any other candies to your liking. Let stand about 30 minutes or until icing is set. Store covered in an airtight container at room temperature with waxed paper between layers.
